The Junior Women's Club of Verona invites all fourth and fifth grade students who are enrolled in Verona schools, or who are residents of Verona, to participate in our annual Spelling Bee.

When?
The Spelling Bee will take place on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at the F.N. Brown Elementary School Auditorium. Fourth and fifth grade students will compete together in one Bee. The competition will start promptly at 10:00 a.m. Please arrive by 9:40 a.m. to ensure a smooth check-in.

How do I sign my child up?
CLICK HERE and fill out the registration form before January 16, 2026.

Are there prizes for the winners?
The top three winners will take home trophies and gift cards to The Collective Bookstore. 

How do the students prepare?
Rules and a practice word list for the competition will be distributed to the registered students. Please note, the practice word lists may not include all words that will be used in the Spelling Bee.
